This Louis Vuitton x De Bethune collaboration wristwatch begins with the still relatively recent Louis Vuitton Tambour Taiko-style case design. For the reference WATI11 LVDB-03 GMT Louis Varius watch, the case is 45mm wide and 14.5mm thick, but it wears smaller and closer to the wrist than the size dimensions might suggest. The inner part of the case is titanium, which has been blued by De Bethune. Note the different finishes, such as the polished and sandblasted elements in blue, which add a lot of visual interest and sense of architectural structure to the Tambour Taiko shape profile. The silver-colored elements, such as the lugs and crown, are in 950 platinum. The LVDB-03 GMT watch is water resistant to 30 meters from a rating perspective, but cannot be put underwater. You'll notice how I removed the motor which is directly hooked up to the winding carriage. A few more small crews allows you to remove and unclip the winding motor. Like I said, the internal components of this winder are better than what I have been in the past (some actually use tape to hold down cables).
