Son of George William and Margaret Heads of 15 Whitewell Terrace, Ryton on Tyne, Co. Durham. Sister: Elizabeth.
Notes : George was given the nickname, Chucky by his friends. It is believed that he was shot dead by a sniper whilst walking in the trenches with his mate, Jack Dodds, of Stargate Colliery. George's father was a miner and worked at Addison Colliery.
