Family Details:
Son of George and Mary Ann Orr, of Crawcrook, Ryton on Tyne, Co. Durham (formerly of Clara Vale). Husband of Isabella Hogg (formerly Orr) of 39 The Huts (now Chesters Gardens), Crawcrook, Ryton on Tyne, Co. Durham. Two daughters: Bessie and Dolly. Thomas's siblings were: Peter, William, John, Nicholas, George, David, James, Ellen, Mary Anne, and Rosie.
Notes : Thomas's brother, David, was killed in action in June 1917, whilst serving with the 20th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers (1st Tyneside Scottish). Their brothers in law, Robert and Joseph Walker also died during the conflict. Robert (of Crawcrook) was killed in action on 15th September 1916, whilst serving with the 1st/9th Durham Light infantry. Joseph (of Clara Vale) died of wounds on 2nd November 1915 at Gallipoli whilst serving with the Royal Naval Division. Thomas's nephew, William Walker (formerly of Crawcrook) was killed in action during World War 2.
