Son of John and Elizabeth March, of 5 Emmaville, West Ryton on Tyne, Co. Durham. Brothers: Thomas, Michael James, and Joseph Dawson.
Notes :
John started working at Emma Colliery 1st April 1902. He enlisted in the colours 28th September 1914. His brother, Joseph, was killed in action on 8th October 1918, whilst serving with the 23rd Bn Royal Fusiliers.
