Notes : Philip was a former choir boy at Greenside Parish Church. He had enlisted only ten weeks prior to his death. His mother, Alice, served as a representative for the Greenside and Ryton Urban District Council, Salvage Committee, and also on the Prisoner of War Committee for Greenside. Both of his sisters served with the Women's Auxiliary Air Force and Bill served with the Royal Army Service Corps.
