Husband of Mary Lowery, of 9 Dean Terrace, Ryton on Tyne, Co. Durham. Four children.
Notes : Adam began work at Emma Colliery in 1912. He had enlisted in the colours on 14th September 1914. Adam served in France from 20th April 1915. He returned to the pit on 29th April 1916. It is not clear if he had been wounded, but he probably was, because he became unfit for service. Adam is not listed on Soldiers Died or with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission as his death occurred in 1923. His death was too late to be recorded on the Ryton War Memorial but he is listed on the Emma Colliery War Memorial plaque as this building was not built until 1923 and was not unveiled until 22nd March 1924.
