Family Details:
Youngest son of Edmund J and Frances Elizabeth Bollom, of 6 May Avenue, Ryton on Tyne, Co. Durham. Baptised at Ryton Parish Church, 27th October 1897 by Theodore Morris. Educated at Ryton School. Johnson's father was a native of Walterton, Norfolk, and his occupation was a gasminer. His mother was a native of Bureydam, Cheshire.
Notes : Johnson was found fit for service at Newcastle upon Tyne railway station on 16th April 1915. After his death, an inventory of Johnson's effects was recorded as one purse, one wristwatch (glass broken), one identity disc, two cheque books in leather case, one new shirt, one cigarette case, one photograph, one officer's advance book and Shillings and 6d.
