Family Details:
Son of John and Mary Hopper, of 23 James Street, Blaydon on Tyne, Co. Durham. John's brother, George, died at the age of 31 in February 1923. George served with the Durham Light Infantry during World War 1 and was wounded and a prisoner of war in Germany (as reported in the Blaydon Courier, 29th June 1918). His father, John, died at the age of 75 on 23rd January 1941. His mother, Mary, died aged 76 on 7th February 1942. The family are buried in Blaydon Cemetery.
